Mimi's Easy Coconut Cake 

Mix one package of  yellow cake mix according to directions. Bake in 9 x 13" pan. While cake it hot, pour over it a mixture of 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of sugar, which has been boiled for 10 minutes and to which been added 1/2 package (9 ounces) of frozen coconut. When cake is completely cool, ice it with 8 ounces of Cool whip; top with rest of coconut. Keep refrigerated.
