The Christmas Shoes" was released in 2001 based on the #1 hit song "The Christmas Shoes". The book followed the release of NewSong's album by the same name. The book is about a young boy who tries to buy his dying mother a pair of shoes, and in the process he touches an experienced lawyer and teaches him the true meaning of Christmas. The book was written by Donna VanLiere and published by St. Martin's Press
